We’re pleased to announce the winner of the Canyon x Outdoor Provisions experience for two at Grinduro Wales.
Back in the summer Canyon and Outdoor Provisions combined forces for a mega prize fund for Grinduro Wales - offering a dreamy prize for our winner and their best ride buddy.
Daniel Williams from Cardiff, Wales was the first name drawn from the prize hat and he and his friend Andrew Griffiths, have bagged themselves the ultimate Grinduro Wales experience:
I’m fairly new to gravel cycling, having mainly spent my cycling life as a roadie. I got into cycling later in life than most people, I guess after deciding to do a triathlon. Also, my dad was dead keen to ride some Tour de France climbs and I really didn't want him to do it alone! I've definitely caught the cycling bug now and aim to try out as many different cycling disciplines as I can. Next up is a bike packing trip from South to North Wales.
This will be my first Grinduro experience and I simply cannot wait. I have always wanted to give off-road racing a try and as I’ll be doing it on a Canyon Grail CF, I’m aiming to be fast! I recently completed a 172km ride on my gravel bike as a bit of prep!
I’m totally stoked that we’ll be riding the Canyon Grail CF, it’s arguably one of the best gravel bikes on the market will be a real treat. It will be interesting to see how the Double Decker handlebar feels on different terrain!
Both Andrew and I are already snacking on our stash of Outdoor Provisions bars. It’s a good job they’re sending some for the ride too, as they’re just too good. Being Welsh, I should say that Bara Brith is the best flavour, but Cherry Bakewell is also very tasty!
