Remember our "Great Grinduro Giveaway" fundraiser from 2020? The campaign raised $58,585 to support Grinduro California’s partner organization, the Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance (SORA). All of that cash went directly to SORA’s Siskiyou Stewardship Fund, which is dedicated to sustaining and enhancing public and conserved lands in the Shasta-Siskiyou region of Northern California.
Two unbelievable prize packages were put together by Grinduro California’s partners. Highlights included a gravel and mountain bike from Evil built with premium components from SRAM, Zipp, and Maxxis, plus a head-to-toe kit from Giro, and so much more. For every $5 contribution to SORA’s Siskiyou Stewardship Fund, supporters received one entry into a random drawing for these two prize packages. There were over 11,700 entries, and two lucky individuals recieved a shock email announcing they had won!
Mark Killing was just out shopping for groceries when he got the email notification that he was winner of the Gravel Prize Package... "Totally stoked, seriously absolutely blown away!"
A has year passed since that surprise, so we wondered if the excitement had subdued enough to ask Mark how he's doing! His Evil Chamois Hagar, a regular sight on the gravel trails around his home in the North East of England, finally popped its Grinduro cherry by visiting Machynlleth in July this year for the inaugural Grinduro Wales.
Huge thanks again to everybody who made the Great Grinduro Giveaway such a success. And if you want to learn more about the Chamois Hagar, just head on over to the Evil Bikes website here: www.evil-bikes.com
