Canyon launch Grizl gravel bike

Turning up the Party Ratio

Publish Date: 11th May 2021

Grinduro has always delivered the perfect party to race ratio when it comes to lung busting climbs, maxxed out heart rate sprints and "oh, why am I not a mountain bike?!?" singletrack descents. Ever since the first Grinduro in 2015, the bikes that hit our courses have evolved too. More tyre clearance, larger gear ratios, slacker geometry and a higher 'smiles per miles' ratio. For 2021, Canyon are hosts of both Grinduro Wales and Switzerland... and they have just announced the perfect bike to ride on these courses - the Canyon Grizl.

Setting your priorities right

In the gravel world according to Canyon “Grizlin‘ is just like riding, but with your priorities set right. Experience over performance. Stories over glories. Grizlin’ means rolling out the door with an open mind, not knowing quite what’s going to happen”. That sounds like the perfect party to race ratio to us!

For those with a bias leant more towards Maxin' and a lot less Relaxin' Canyon have the race-orientated Grail. The new Grizl sits at the other end of the spectrum, delivering a heck of a lot more party and adventure to the ride.

Meet Grizl at Grinduro Wales & Switzerland

The Canyon Grizl is loaded with all the neat touches we would love for a weekend bikepacking trip with our buddies. But it also has the rowdy behaviour to really make riding at Grinduro a real hoot. Especially in the singletrack sections! To find out all the details about the Grizl, including detailed specifications and pricing, visit

Heading out to either of our Grinduro weekends in Wales or Switzerland? You'll get the opportunity to meet Grizl up close and personal! Just head on over to the Canyon booth in the Grinduro village and see it for yourself. The Canyon crew will be on hand all weekend to answer questions and talk you through the design features.
