For everyone in the northern hemisphere, Spring is in the air and there's a sense of the world just waiting to burst back into life. For those of us not able to get out and ride much (or even at all) at the minute, the anticipation and the enthusiasm for future adventures is even stronger than normal. Although we can't predict accurately what's likely to happen over the course of the next few months, the team at Grinduro are staying positive and focussing on the good things to come and we hope you are too!
How can we help you to keep your stoke levels high - how about some inspiration from our friends around the globe!

Next up, the team at SRAM recently sent us this brilliant video
"Meet Kiel Reijnen, American rider for Trek-Segafredo. He’s not your typical pro cyclist. Kiel loves chopping wood and doing heavy yardwork. He even built his own house. Flashy cars, designer clothes and status possessions aren’t in Kiel’s nature. Multi-surface riding is his preferred way to spend time on the bike. This story documents how Kiel and childhood riding buddy, Devin Bodony embarked on a riding quest to the end of the earth… or Cape Flattery, Washington." If you'd like to read about the behind-the-scenes planning for Kiel's trip, check out the article here.
In contrast to the sunshine and dust of California, we've been reminiscing with Luke and Christian from Grinduro Wales sponsor Outdoor Provisions about their adventures at the inaugural running of Grinduro Scotland back in 2017. "My enduring memory of this trip was the camaraderie and friends made, on the road (and gravel) and at the after-party." remembers Christian. Luke's abiding memory was "the Race to Party ratio swinging big time towards party with the help of the Arran distillery miniatures that were going around". You can read the full story of their amazing sounding trip up north here and you can meet them in person at Grinduro Wales in October.
komoot is a route planning and navigation app for iOS, Android and your computer desktop which has sports-specific routing - analysing trail and road surfaces so you can plan a gravel, MTB, or road cycling route. They're the perfect partner for Grinduro! All Grinduro routes are created with komoot and shared with you before the events so you can prepare for what's in store, with insights into the elevation profile, surface types (hello tyre choice!) and even weather forecasting if you have a premium subscription. Track with komoot or sync with your Wahoo or Garmin and share your Grinduro experience afterwards with your friends and family or others on komoot. All participants get a free komoot regional bundle included when entering a Grinduro event.
We have some sad news to pass on this month too. The Grinduro team out in Switzerland have been working incredibly hard to put on a safe and successful event in 2020, but in the end have taken the decision that it's not possible to run the event safely this year, so it's been postponed until 2021. You can read the full news story here.
That's it for this month.
Stay safe and see you on the Grinduro trails soon.
