Grinduro’s Art and Bike Exhibit is a curated display of some of the most interesting and elaborate works of art in cycling. We showcase the independent artisans and the iconoclasts who rarely get the spotlight at traditional trade shows and bike events.

New for 2017, the Art and Bike Exhibit at each Grinduro is open to ten vendors through an application process. If you’re interested in showcasing your creations at Grinduro, let us know and the judges panel will review your application.

If you’re approved, you will be asked to pay $200/ £200 (depending on event). The fees will give you a TK x TK display space, your logo will be included right here on Grinduro.com and we’ll make sure that your works of art are visible onsite as well as in the post-event imagery and video.

In addition to the Meet Your Maker bike and component exhibit, we’ll have work on display from some of our favorite artists, photographers and craftsmen.

The Grinduro Exhibit Hall is basically a curated collection of our favorite, mostly-bike-related things. It’s two parts handmade bicycle display, one part art exhibit, one part independent craft fair and one part bike shop.

Saturday’s gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the cost of the Grinduro entry.

In addition we’ll have exceptional coffee, beer from Sierra Nevada and wine for sale. We’ll also have food trucks and catering onsite.

We’re proud to announce that one of our favorite bands, La Luz, is going to be headlining! We’ve been mesmerized by this emerging, all-female surf rock group. Their sound has been labeled “turbo-charged surf noir,” and we honestly can’t get enough. But don’t take our word for it, here’s what Pitchfork has to say:

“…the record doesn’t fully convey the energy of La Luz’s live shows, where the band members will crowd surf and request the audience make space for a line dance à la “Soul Train”. But if you choose to focus on La Luz’s doo-wop harmonizing, then you’re only looking at the frilly, pink bow that tops the whole package. The undercurrent of darkness in La Luz’s music is what makes their work so fierce and intelligent. You could blink and miss their sneaky, underhanded way of slipping unease into their cheerful-sounding songs. Which is why you should give them more of your attention.”

We’re also working on a few other special musical guests, including a DJ to take the party into late night. Stay tuned for more info.

Quincy, California, is located in the northwestern Sierra mountains. The closest major airport is Reno-Tahoe International, about 1.5 hours away. Bay Area residents should plan on a scenic, four-hour drive.

Grinduro is based in Quincy, California. Quincy is surrounded by the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. We like camping in the mountains, and we thought you’d probably enjoy it too. So we’re offering free camping to Grinduro racers onsite at the Grinduro Village. The grounds have plenty of space for tent campers to spread out (it’s not the tent city you’ve seen at some events), and RVs are welcome too. We’ll have RV sites, with full hook ups, available for $35 per night.

Here is the tentative schedule for setting up camp on Friday:
3-9pm: Vehicles can enter the camping spots to setup.
9pm: All vehicles must be out of the Grinduro Village.

Within the camping spots, no open fires are allowed. It will be cold at night, so plan accordingly. Propane stoves are allowed if you’d like to cook or make your own coffee, and showers are available onsite.

SRAM Bike Demo

You’re welcome.

The perception of road cycling as an asphalt-only discipline is a construct of recent history. Roads have been unpaved since roads began and bikes have been riding them as long they’ve existed. Which is why SRAM 1x (say: one by) drivetrains for road are relevant.

You are invited to demo a SRAM 1x-equipped bike at GRINDURO 2016. Learn how SRAM 1x provides improved chain security, simpler sequential shifting, and all the gears you need- meaning “road riding” is no longer contained to asphalt.

Secure your bike now and look for your confirmation email!

Demo is free on first come, first served basis. Limited bike sizes available. Bring your favorite pedals and helmet.
